الحمد لله الواحد القهار، والصلاة والسلام على رسوله محمد المختار، وعلى آله وصحبه ومن اقتدى بهم من الأطهار، وبعد.

مما لا شك فيه أن المسلمين منذ مبعث هذه الأمة ببعثة النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قدموا للإنسانية حضارة شهد لها القريب والبعيد، وفي جميع العلوم والفنون.

كان أول شيء صنعه الإسلام صياغة شخصية الإنسان ذاته، فجعل منه إنسانًا راقيًا يتعالى على الشهوات والملذات، ولا يغتر بالدنيا وزينتها، ثم بما قدمه الإسلام من قيم لهذا الإنسان الحضاري، فأصبح يقدم للبشرية حضارة راقية ومدنية زاهرة.

يعجز اللسان والقلم عن حصر ما قدمه المسلمون من عناصر حضارة للبشرية ولو بالإشارة؛ من حضارة الأندلس والشام والعراق ومصر والمغرب والهند..... الخ في شتى المجالات العلمية، والأدبية المنظورة والمقروءة، والتي كانت سببا في تقدم الغرب. فما الذي أوقف تلك الحضارة عن المسير؟ وما الذي جعلها تبطئ السير، بل توقفت في بعض الأوقات؟ ولماذا ضيعنا تلك الحضارة وريادة البشرية بهذه الطريقة؟.

إني تذكرت والذكرى مؤرقة *** مجداً تليداً بأيدينا أضعناه

   ويح العروبة كان الكون مسرحها *** فأصبحت تتوارى في زواياه

لا زال القرآن الكريم موجوداً لم يتغير ولم يتبدل، و ما زالت سنة النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- بين أيدينا ننهل منها، والقواعد التي رسخها الإسلام في المسلمين الأوائل لا زلنا نعرفها وندرسها؛ ولكننا لا نطبقها كما طبقوها، ولا نفهمها كما فهموها، لذا كان علينا أن نعيد النظر في أسباب تخلفنا عن ركب الحضارة، ونضع أصبعنا على الأسباب الحقيقية لهذا الركود، ونعلم متى بدأ هذا الركود.

لا يستطيع باحث أن يحدد بالضبط الوقت الذي اكتمل فيه ركود الحضارة الإسلامية، ولكننا نقول كما قال العلامة أبو الحسن الندوي فى كتابه ماذا خسر العالم بانحطاط المسلمين: "لو أردنا أن نضع أُصبعنا على الحد التاريخي الذي يفصل بين الخلافة الراشدة والمملوكية العربية أو مملوكية المسلمين"، أي أنه بدأ منذ ذلك التاريخ، وإن خفي وتلاشى في بعض الأوقات، ولكنه أخذ يسري حتى وصل إلى قمته في دول المماليك الذين تولوا الأمر، وانقسام الأمة الإسلامية في منتصف القرن السابع عشر الميلادي إلى ثلاث دول كبرى، وإن ظلت تحت خلافة واحدة، وهي (الدولة المغولية بالهند، والصفوية في إيران، والعثمانية في تركيا).

ولكن من هو  المسئول عن ركود الحضارة الإسلامية؟. هل الإسلام هو المسئول عن ذلك؟ لا. لم يكن الإسلام هو المسئول عن ركود الحضارة الإسلامية، لأن الإسلام استطاع بعد فترة قصيرة من ظهوره أن يقيم حضارة رائعة، كانت من أطول الحضارات عمراً في التاريخ، ولا تزال الشواهد على ذلك ماثلة للعيان فيما خلفه المسلمون من معالم حضارية شهد لها الجميع، فالإسلام جهاد لا يهدأ، وعمل لا يفتر، وطاقة متصلة، وعزة قائمة، ولأن الإسلام  يقدر العلم والعلماء كما قال تعالى: {يَرْفَعِ اللَّهُ الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا مِنكُمْ وَالَّذِينَ أُوتُوا الْعِلْمَ دَرَجَاتٍ} [المجادلة : 11]

لقد حث الإسلام على النظر في الكون ودراسته وعمارة الأرض، كما في قوله سبحانه وتعالى {أَفَلَمْ يَنْظُرُوا إِلَى السَّمَاءِ فَوْقَهُمْ كَيْفَ بَنَيْنَاهَا وَزَيَّنَّاهَا وَمَا لَهَا مِنْ فُرُوجٍ (6) وَالْأَرْضَ مَدَدْنَاهَا وَأَلْقَيْنَا فِيهَا رَوَاسِيَ وَأَنْبَتْنَا فِيهَا مِنْ كُلِّ زَوْجٍ بَهِيجٍ(7)﴾. [سورة ق].

وإذا لم يكن الإسلام هو المسئول عن ركود الحضارة الإسلامية، فمن المسئول إذن؟ يرجع ذلك إلى:

الخلافات السياسية والعصبية، وتنازع الرياسة والجاه، والصراعات الداخلية، وإغفال دورهم في الحياة الدنيا، وتعصب بعضهم إلى بعض، أصابهم بالانحطاط الحضاري، فنسوا قوله تعالى: {وَأَطِيعُوا اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَلَا تَنَازَعُوا فَتَفْشَلُوا وَتَذْهَبَ ريحُكم}[الأنفال:46] ، وكذلك ما روي عن جرير-رضي الله عنه- أن النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قال له في حجة الوداع: "استنصت الناس فقال: "لا ترجعوا بعدي كفاراً يضرب بعضكم رقاب بعض" أخرجه: البخاري والنسائي بسند صحيح.

وكذلك فإن تولي الساسة العسكريين السلطة يدخل القوة مكان العقل والفكر، فيختل التوازن بين السيف والعلم لحساب السيف وحده تقريباً، كما استبعدوا الأمة فجعلوها تتخلف عن ركب الحضارة، تحولوا إلى أداة تحكم واستبداد.

ومن أسباب الركود كذلك فصل الدين عن السياسة؛ أو تسييس الدين لصالح رجال السياسة، وفصله عن قوانين الدولة والحياة العامة، وتحرر الحياة بعيدة عن رقابة الدين، فأصبحت قيصرية أو كسروية مستبدة، وملكا عضوضاً، كما أخبر النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم-، وأصبحت السياسة كجمل هائج، حبله على غاربه، ورجال الدين والعلم بين معارض وخارج وحائر ومنعزل.

ومنها أيضا الخلافات الدينية والمذهبية؛ والتناحر بين المذاهب الفقهية، مع العلم أن مؤسسي المذاهب أنفسهم كان الحب والتعاون والوصول للحق هو هدف كل واحد منهم، -رضي الله عنهم- ؛ يقول الإمام علي -رضي الله عنه-: "لا يعرف الحق بالرجال، ولكن اعرف الحق تعرف أهله"؛ ويقول الإمام الشافعي -رحمه الله- : "رأيي صواب يحتمل الخطأ ورأي الآخرين خطأ يحتمل الصواب"، فنتج عن تلك الأسباب تحول الإسلام إلى جسد بلا روح، وانتشار القيم غير الحميدة  التي أمر الإسلام بالتخلي عنها، وقلة وجود القيم التي أمر الإسلام بها، وحث علـيها، كالعدل، الرحمة، الحرية، النصيحة، وتناقص في التوجيه والإعلام والتربية.

         ومن أهم تلك الأسباب أيضا التفرق وعدم الوحدة؛ خاصة بعد سقوط الخلافة الإسلامية عام 1924م، فأصبح التضامن الإسلامي مجرد شعار نردده في المناسبات، وأصبح شعاراً خالياً من أي مضمون، مما أدى إلى إهمال العلوم التطبيقية، والانغماس في ألوان الترف والنعيم .

ومنها كذلك الغزو الاستعماري لبلاد المسلمين، يمتص خيراتها ويستعبد أهلها وأبناء هذه المنطقة، من خلال القروض والمعونات، وزرع ديكتاتوريات عسكرية، وبرامج إصلاحية، وهي في حقيقتها (فساد)، وإثارة النزعات بين البلاد، وإنشاء الجامعة العربية وهدف ذلك كي لا يفكروا في عودة الخلافة الإسلامية.

ومن الأسباب إقامة قوميات عرقية مختلفة، وإبعاد المسلمين عن تحصيل القوة الصناعية، والتبشير والتنصير في بلاد المسلمين .

فإذا كانت هذه هي أهم الأسباب التي أدت إلى أفول الحضارة الإسلامية، فإننا لو تفاديناها، واتخذنا العلم منهجا  بما يتوافق مع واقعنا المعاصر، مع العلم بالسنن الكونية، والوحدة، والتخطيط الجيد، فإننا نستطيع أن نعيد الأمة لمجدها وننهض بها، لأن النهوض بالحضارة الإسلامية  نهوضٌ بالحضارة الإنسانية جمعاء.

 

هذا والله من وراء القصد وهو نعم المولى ونعم النصير

All praise is due to Allah, the One, the Irresistible, and prayer and peace be upon His chosen Messenger (ﷺ), and his followers.

There is no doubt that since the advent of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), Muslims presented to humanity a civilization which included all kinds of science and arts. It is acknowledged by everyone.

The first thing Islam did was reforming man himself, by making him rise above lusts and pleasures, and by making worldly gains his main goals. This resulted in the rise of an advanced civilization which benefited the entire humanity.

It is impossible to mention every aspect of human civilization which Muslims presented in many ways, even by indication, i.e Islamic civilization in Andalusia, Great Syria, Iraq, Egypt, Morocco and India…in different fields of science and literature, and in both seen and read ways was the reason for the advancement of the West.

What brought that civilization to a halt? What made it go slower, and sometimes even reach a complete stop in some times? Why did we lose that civilization and the leadership of humanity in this way?.

 The Holy Quran is still with us, unchanged, and so is the Prophet's Sunnah, in addition to the basics which Islam taught the early Muslims, we still know and study them, but do not apply nor understand them as those Muslims did. Therefore, we have to rethink about the causes behind our being behind the civilization trail, and finger point to the real causes behind that, and when it started.

No researcher can exactly pinpoint the exact time when the recession of the Islamic civilization started, but we can quote from the book "what did the world lose as a result of the recession of Muslims" by the late Islamic scholar; Abu Alhasan Anadawi:"If we pinpoint the historical time of the segregation between Khilafah and the Arabic or Islamic royalties", meaning that the recession started since that happened, although sometimes it was not seen, but it continued slowly till it reached its peak, when the Mamluks took over, and the Muslim nation was divided into three large countries under one Kilafah during the middle of the seventh century A.D. Those countries were: (the Mongol state in India, the Safavid state in Iran and the Ottoman state in Turkey).

Who is responsible for the recession of the Islamic civilization? Is it Islam? No! Because after a short time of its beginning, it was able to establish one of the world's longest lasting civilizations throughout history. Proofs for that still exist throughout the areas which they controlled. Islam is a continuous struggle, relentless work, energy, a standing dignity, and appreciates science and scientists: 58: 11……... Allah will exalt in degree those of you who believe, and those who have been granted knowledge……….

Islam encourages observing, studying the universe, and construction: 50: 6. Have they not looked at the heaven above them, how We have made it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it? 7. And the earth! We have spread it out, and set thereon mountains standing firm, and have produced therein every kind of lovely growth (plants).

If Islam is not responsible for the stagnation of the Islamic civilization, then who is?

The causes for that are:

Political differences- loyalty for family or place- quarrelling over leadership and power- internal conflicts- oversighting their role in life- supporting one another which resulted in the civilizational degeneration, and forgetting Allah: 8: 46. And obey Allah and His Messenger, and do not dispute (with one another) lest you lose courage and your strength depart………).

 

Narrated Jarir: The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me during Hajjat-al-Wida`: Let the people keep quiet and listen. Then he said (addressing the people), "Do not (become infidels) revert to disbelief after me by striking the necks (cutting the throats) of one another (killing each other).

 

Military rule replaces the mind and intellect with power, which causes the breakdown of the balance between the sword and science almost results in favor of the sword. They excluded the nation, and made it at the end of the procession of the civilization. They were transferred into a tool which ruled with cruelty.

 

Another cause is the separation between religion and state, or adapting religion for the benefit of the politicians, and excluding it from the state laws and public lives. Freeing life from religious laws made it become Caesarean, or tyrannical Khosraueon, or a biting rule, politics became like a berserk camel whose rein is out of control, and men of religion and science are divided into a dissenting, were out of the country, confused and secluded.

Also among those causes were religious and doctrine differences, and struggle among doctrinal groups, in spite of the fact that the men who established those schools were in agreement, cooperation and good relations, with the goal of reaching the facts.   

 

 Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib -radiya Allahu anhu- said: "the truth is not known by men, but knowing the truth is the way to know its people".

And Imam Ashafi -radiya Allahu 'anhu- said: "my opinion is right, but with the probability of being wrong, and the opinion of others is wrong, with the probability of being right".

As a result of that, Islam transformed into a body without soul, the spread of bad values which Islam warned against, the small number of the values which Islam ordered and urged on doing like; justice, mercy, freedom, advice, decrease of instructions, media and upbringing.

Another reason for the end of Islamic civilization is disunion and lack of unity, especially after the fall of the Islamic khilafah in 1924 A.D. Since then Islamic unity became nothing but a slogan we chant on occasions. It became a slogan which is void of any content. This in turn led to neglecting applied sciences, and to indulging into all kinds of luxury. 

Also one of reasons is the imperialist attacks on Muslims' countries; they stole the bounties and enslaved the people through loans and aids, and by implanting military dictatorships and reform programs, which were in fact a way for corruption, disputes among Islamic countries, also establishing the Arab League for the aim of not thinking about restoring the Islamic Khilafah, and to establish different ethnic nationalism, preventing Muslims from owning Industrial power, in addition to Christian preaching for the aim of making Muslims apostate, and embrace Christianity.

If these reasons are the cause of the ending of Islamic civilization, then if we avoid them, and use science in a way that conforms with today's status, have knowledge of the natural cause and effect, unity, good planning, we will be able to restore the glory of our Islamic nation, and make it advance in all fields, which is a rise of the entire human civilization.

La civiltà islamica tra declino e rinascita

Lode ad Allah l’Unico il Vincitore, pace e benedizioni sul suo Messaggero prescelto Mohammed e sulla sua famiglia e sui suoi compagni e su chi li imita nella purificazione.

Cari fratelli care sorelle, non v’è dubbio che i musulmani, da quando il Profeta saw diffuse il suo messaggio, fornirono all’umanità una civiltà di cui potè  testimoniare il vicino e il lontano, un progresso in tutte le scienze e in tutte le arti. La prima vittoria dell’Islam fu nell’edificazione dell’uomo stesso, lo rese un uomo superiore, intoccabile dalle passioni  e dalle delizie, incorruttibile dalle tentazioni della vita terrena e le sue bellezze. Con i valori forniti a quest’uomo, l’Islam rese possibile all’umanità una cultura elevata e una civilizzazione fiorente. La lingua e la penna non riescono a descrivere tutto ciò che i musulmani  offrirono come civilizzazione umana, ma  vi si può solo accennare… la civiltà Andalusa e la Siria e l’Iraq e l’Egitto e il Maghreb  e fino in India. Nei più svariati ambiti scientifici e letterari e artistici, essi furono causa di progresso anche per l’occidente. Cos’è che impedì a questa civiltà di continuare? Cos’è che, in certi periodi, la fece rallentare fino a fermarsi? Perché perdemmo questa civiltà e il nostro ruolo di guida dell’umanità?

Io ricordai e il ricordo non mi fe’ dormire *** antico, glorioso, con le nostre mani lo perdemmo

Che pena..il mondo era lo spettacolo degli Arabi *** si rifugiarono poi nel loro angolo

Ma il Corano è sempre presente, non cambia e non si trasforma, la Sunna del Nabiu saw, è tra le nostre mani e ci dissetiamo con essa. Le regole che l’Islam prescrisse ai primi musulmani le studiamo e le impariamo ancora: però noi siamo da meno di loro, nell’applicazione e nello studio. E’ nostro dovere perciò rivolgere lo sguardo ai motivi della nostra inadeguatezza verso questa grande civiltà e additiamo i veri motivi e l’inizio di questa stagnazione. Il ricercatore non può indicare con certezza l’inizio di codesta stasi, però noi diciamo quello che disse il sapiente Abu alHasan alNadawy nel suo libro circa quello che perse il mondo a causa della involuzione dei musulmani: “Se volessimo potremmo indicare con certezza il punto storico cruciale che divise i Califfati ben guidati e i regni arabi o i regni musulmani” Ovvero: cominciò da quel periodo e declinò e scomparve in poco tempo e però prese a essere valido fino a raggiungere il suo culmine nei regni dei Mamelucchi . La nazione islamica si divise a metà del secolo diciassettesimo d.c. in tre grandi nazioni all’ombra di un’unica potestà (la nazione Moghul in India, la nazione Safawide in Iran e la nazione Ottomana in Turchia). Chi fu infine il responsabile del  declino islamico? Forse che sia l’Islam stesso responsabile di ciò? Questo non è possibile perché l’Islam riuscì, in un breve periodo di tempo dal suo apparire, a fondare una civiltà meravigliosa che durò come le più lunghe civilizzazioni della storia. Le testimonianze di ciò sono ancora ben visibili, ciò che ereditarono i musulmani quanto a civilizzazione tutti lo vedono. L’Islam è uno sforzo, non è un regalo, è lavoro non è corruzione, è energia continua e nobiltà eccellente: l’Islam crea il sapere e i sapienti, lo disse Allahu Taala: ((Allah innalzerà il livello di coloro che credono e che hanno ricevuto la scienza))(alMujadala 11). L’Islam spinge a osservare il creato e a studiarlo, e a popolare la terra, come disse Allah Taala: ((6. Non osservano il cielo sopra di loro, come lo abbiamo edificato e abbellito e senza fenditura alcuna? 7 E la terra l'abbiamo distesa, vi infiggemmo le montagne e vi facemmo crescere ogni specie di meravigliosa vegetazione))(sura Q ). Se non fu l’Islam causa del declino, chi fu in realtà? Si ritorna sempre a questo: i califfati politicizzati, il settarismo, i colpi di stato, la superbia, le lotte intestine, la dimenticanza del nostro ruolo nella vita terrena, gli uni agli altri infliggono colpi che fanno degenerare la civiltà e dimenticano il verbo di Allah Taala: ((46. Obbedite ad Allah e al Suo Messaggero. Non siate discordi, ché altrimenti vi scoraggereste e verrebbe meno la vostra risolutezza )) (alAnfal). Jarir raa, riportato da alBukhary, racconta che durante il sermone dell’addio, il Nabiu saw disse: “Fate tacere la gente, poi disse, dopo di me non tornate alla miscredenza tagliandovi la gola l’un l’altro”. Si instaura il potere politico dei militari, la forza prende il posto della ragione, si sbilancia il rapporto tra la spada e la sapienza, in favore totale della spada. Allontanano la nazione islamica e la rendono inadeguata alla sua civiltà, trasformati in un mero strumento di controllo ossessivo. Tra i motivi di tutto ciò c’è la separazione tra politica e religione, o la politicizzazione della religione da parte degli uomini politici, la sua separazione dalle leggi dello stato e della vita in generale, che si è liberata dalla vigilanza della religione, ed è diventata paragonabile a quella del tempo di Cesare o di tiranni come  Cosroe , nella maniera che premonì il Profeta saw, la politica diventata come un cammello imbizzarrito senza redini per tenerlo. Mentre gli uomini di religione e sapienza sono sospesi tra l’opposizione e l’esilio, la confusione e l’isolamento. Anche i califfi di indole religiosa e dottrinale con le loro rivalità settarie si fan la guerra. Mentre la sapienza dovrebbe essere fondamento della dottrina e portare all’amore e alla cooperazione tra di loro per raggiungere la verità e la soddisfazione di Allah swt dovrebbe essere il loro scopo. Disse l’Imam Aly raa: “La verità non è conosciuta dagli uomini ma conoscere la verità è il modo di conoscere la sua gente”. Disse l’imam alShafaay: “La mia opinione è giusta con la possibilità di essere sbagliata e l’opinione degli altri è sbagliata con la possibilità di essere giusta”

Deriva da tutto questo che l’Islam è divenuto un corpo senza spirito, si sono diffusi valori poco lodevoli di cui l’Islam già ordinò di sbarazzarsene. Al contrario i valori prescritti dall’Islam sono in poca provvista, come la giustizia, la compassione, l’evitare gli scontri, l’educazione, lo studio.

Tra le cause più importanti anche la divisione e la mancanza di unità; particolarmente dopo la caduta del Califfato islamico nell’ anno 1924 dc. La solidarietà islamica diventò uno slogan che ripetiamo al bisogno, uno slogan svuotato di ogni contenuto, che portò alla decadenza delle scienze applicate e all’immersione nei piaceri e nelle mollezze. Altra causa importante fu l’aggressione colonialista ai paesi musulmani, per derubarli delle loro ricchezze e asservire i popoli di queste regioni e rendere dipendenti i loro figli a mezzo di prestiti e aiuti nonché il sostegno a dittatori militari, programmi di risanamento in realtà corrotti, incitamento alla divisione tra paesi della Lega Araba. Tutto per distoglierli dal pensare al ritorno al Califfato Islamico, dal dare dignità a nazionalità etniche, per impedire ai musulmani di ottenere una forza industriale. per tentare anche di cristianizzare ed evangelizzare paesi musulmani.

Se queste sono le cause importanti del declino della civiltà islamica, dovremo superarle e prendere conoscenza di un percorso adatto al nostro stato attuale, la sapienza secondo le leggi del creato, l’unità, una giusta pianificazione. In questo modo riporteremo la Umma alla sua gloria e la faremo risorgere, perché la rinascita della civiltà islamica è la rinascita della civiltà di tutti gli uomini
